About

Joint Neighborhood Ministry is a small nonprofit agency striving to meet the needs of the community.  The service area includes parts of 63118 and 63104 zip codes.  JNM is "More Than A Soup Can."  It attempts to not only feed the hungry, but also supply clothing, provide financial assistance, meet health needs and offer significant support services to those who struggle for self-sufficiency.

The low-income individuals JNM serves often are unemployed or underemployed, single with children, grandparents raising grandchildren, have no health insurance or are underinsured, and maybe living in substandard housing or are homeless.

In 2010, JNM served approximately 13,480 individuals.  Due to the current economic situation, it is anticipated that this number will increase significantly in 2011.  In order to provide needed services to the community, JNM relies on generous donations and grant funding.
